the way to working better
with my board, and making a plan for the next few years. We now have

creating and presenting my plan, and that really helped”

ABASUBA COMMUNITY PEACE MUSEUM www.abasuba.museum
"Abasuba Community Peace Museum is a community-based museum that is managed and
financed by the community. Due to this it was important for our partner which is Trust for African
Rock (TARA) to send us a specialist who could come and help us develop public programmes
that could help the museum to sustain itself.
Mr. Bangiola managed to demonstrate to us how we could develop debate club for school
kids and to ensure that the museum to be an active museum. He managed to provide us with
tools and materials that are needed to do so.
He also organized a volunteerism programme by inviting seventy-five school kids as away
of involving the kids from school around the museum in cleaning the environment.
The third activity that Mr. Bangiola did when he was at the museum is to organize our material
culture in our exhibition hall. It was very interesting to see how Mr. Bangiola managed to exhibit
that material culture according to their functionality.
The forth activity that he did was to advise the museum curator on the entrepreneurship
activities for the museum so that the museum could sustain it self in the near future.
On behalf of the Abasuba Community peace museum, we appreciate the contribution of
Mr. Bangiola to our institution because it was an eye opener to our institution." |
